VENTURE TAPE CORP. COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF COMPAC CORP.'S
PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE ASSETS
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Feb.13, 2009 –
Venture Tape Corp., a subsidiary of 3M, announced today that it has completed
its acquisition of Compac Corp.’s pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape assets
from Lamtec Corp. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
VENTURE TAPE CORP. LAUNCHES NEW, EASY-TO-USE WEB SITE
ROCKLAND, MA -- Venture Tape Corp., a worldwide manufacturer of specialty tapes has launched a newly designed company Web site that is both aesthetically pleasing and user friendly. The new site features two new major additions to its home page: a “Featured Products” section that enables customers and employees to see new products and applications; and a “View Our Data Sheets” section that takes customers directly to Venture Tape product data sheets.
Product catalogs for most of the markets served by Venture Tape Corp. are available and can be easily downloaded from the new site, according to Venture Tape graphic design specialist Chris Rowan, who spearheaded the seven-month project. “This is a huge benefit to customers who request catalogs and previously had to wait until they were shipped. Now, they can access detailed product info instantly. From searches to navigation, the new Web site enables customers to find the Venture Tape product that is right for their needs much easier and faster,” says Rowan.
Customers using the newly enhanced Web site will also obtain contact information for the product expert on each Venture Tape product, which is helpful if they have particular questions regarding product use, ratings or application suitability.

NEW TAPE AVAILABLE FOR COOLER LEAKS AND REPAIRS
ROCKLAND, MA -- Refrigeration contractors now have a critical tool to add to their job site toolbox that is helping supermarkets, restaurants, and other institutions with walk-in coolers and food storage units reap huge savings in labor and maintenance costs. Venture Tape’s new cooler repair tape, VentureClad® 1577CW, offers high performance in cold temperatures.
VentureClad® 1577CW is a zero perm, washable, conformable, mold resistant cooler repair tape that can be applied in temperatures well below zero. It is a hybrid of Venture Tape’s innovative VentureClad® outdoor product and is specifically designed for refrigeration repair, making maintenance easier and helping facility owners avoid costly shut downs.

The facility owner risks being cited by local health officials and having to repair the unit, which can be labor and time intensive.”
