EXEMPT POSITIONS

 

 ASSISTANT C.A.D. ENGINEER

 

Summary:

Responsible for technical CAD drawings for new model vehicles and motorcycles. Will also be involved in running training classes on product.  

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Provide direction to design team members as needed to create and develop original layout and detailed drawings.
  • Assist coordinating prototype timing, design content, delivery, and quantities.
  • Keep informed of future product trends.
  • Advise upper management on the status of the customer relationships.
  • Customer training for product.
  • Customer and technical support.
  • Set up new customers on software.
  • Computer drawing of new automobiles, motorcycles and RVs
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel within the U.S.A.
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to train on installation of product
Education/Experience:
  • Associates degree, preferred
  • Experience with sign making software, favorable.

 

 

 INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER

 

Summary:

Plans and oversees layout of equipment and production facilities. Conducts studies in operations to maximize work flow and spatial utilization.  Ensures facility efficiency and workplace safety.  

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Develop work methods, work station design and document process methods.
  • Conduct analysis and make recommendations to improve labor utilization, material flow and capacity planning.

Minimum Requirements:
  • BSIE , BSME
  • Background in continuous web Coating or Converting a plus

 SUPERVISOR: COATING DEPARTMENT

 

Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the daily manufacturing process of the Coating Department. The position will coordinate and direct all manufacturing activities toward maintaining a daily schedule, product quality, effective labor distribution and machine efficiencies.  

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Monitor daily schedule utilizing manufacturing and process controls
  • Daily assignment and direction of Coating personnel
  • Monitoring and implementation of safety programs
  • Hourly employee evaluation and review process
  • Departmental training planning to meet needs and promote flexibility
  • Maintenance and reporting of coating shift attendance logs
  • Coordination of daily activities with Scheduling.
  • Team building and mentoring of Lead operators
  • Front line trouble shooting of materials and process problems
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Applications.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to provide necessary attention to the production operation and systems that support the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Leadership traits including excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Ability to maintain good working relations with people of diverse skills.
  • Accessible to both internal and external customers.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Assistant Supervisor’s position or other production supervisory level
  • Coating process (wide to narrow web) preferred
Environmental Conditions:

A majority of time will be spent in the Coating department maintaining accessibility and a visible presence to the Coating personnel. Office work will consist of; writing and distribution of daily shift report, construction and delivery of performance appraisals, maintaining accurate employee files, ordering some department consumables.

 

 

 PROCESS ENGINEER THIRD SHIFT

  • Manage several projects at the same time with an emphasis on Process improvements.
  • Review existing processes with a focus on improving quality and manufacturability reducing costs and optimizing throughout.

HOURLY POSITIONS

SLITTER MACHINE OPERATORS - THIRD SHIFT

 

Summary:

 

He/She is responsible for the daily operation of a manual slitter machine. He/She is responsible for productivity and the quality of the product. He/She will coordinate the activities within the slitter work cell. When applicable, the operator is responsible for training junior operators to the level of operator. He/she is expected to work safely, adhering to Venture tape safety policies and general manufacturing procedures.

Major Responsibilities/Activities
  • Check condition of the equipment before operation.
  • Setup and run to manufacturing specifications.
  • Maintain or improve product quality.
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards.
  • Reset blades when needed.
  • Load and unload material on and off the machine.
  • Make boxes and labels and pack finished product on line.
  • Complete daily production reports neatly and accurately.
  • Coordinate the activities of the work cell and train new operators.
  • Maintain a clean machine and work area.
  • Perform related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or lead person.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to read and write English at the high school level
  • Basic mathematic ability, must pass a math test
  • Mechanical ability
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, not on a regular basis


COATER OPERATORS

 

Shift A Monday – Thursday 6:00 A.M. -6:00 P.M.
Shift B Monday –Thursday 6:00 P.M – 6:00 A.M.
Shift C Friday – Sunday 6:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
Shift D Friday – Sunday 6:00 P.M. – 6:00 A.M.
First Shift Monday – Friday 7:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
Second Shift Monday – Friday 3:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M.
Third Shift Monday – Friday 11:00 P.M. – 7:00 A.M.


Major Responsibilities/Activities
  • Complete operation of Coater Line to produce product to work order specifications.
  • Perform and record all in-process quality tests and work order documentation.
  • Interface with off-shift operators
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Successful completion of Basic Math Test
  • Mechanical ability
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, not on a regular basis
