HOURLY POSITIONS

AUXILIARY OPERATOR
FIRST SHIFT

SUMMARY: Auxiliary Operator is responsible for the daily operation of flat-top rewind tables, upright rewinder, Siat, and Auxiliary Packaging line. Operator is responsible for productivity and the quality of the product.  Operator is expected to work safely, adhering to Venture tape safety policies and general manufacturing procedures.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

• Check condition of the equipment before operation.
• Setup and run to manufacturing specifications.
• Maintain or improve product quality.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Make boxes and labels and pack finished product for shipment.
• Complete daily production reports neatly and accurately.
• Maintain a clean machine and work area.
• Perform related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or lead person.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to read and write English at the high school level.
• Basic mathematic ability, must pass a math test
• Mechanical ability
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Some heavy lifting required, not repetitive, up to 50 lbs.

MANUAL SLITTER MACHINE OPERATOR

FIRST SHIFT, SECOND SHIFT, THIRD SHIFT

SUMMARY: Operator is responsible for the daily operation of a manual slitter machine.  Operator is responsible for productivity and the quality of the product.  Operator will co-ordinate the activities within the slitter work cell.  When applicable, the operator is responsible for training junior operators to the level of operator.  Operator is expected to work safely, adhering to Venture Tape safety policies and general manufacturing procedures.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

• Check condition of the equipment before operation.
• Setup and run to manufacturing specifications.
• Maintain or improve product quality.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Reset blades when needed.
• Load and unload material on and off the machine.
• Make boxes and labels and pack finished product on line.
• Complete daily production reports neatly and accurately.
• Coordinate the activities of the work cell and train new operators.
• Maintain a clean machine and work area.
• Perform related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or lead person.

AUTOMATED SLITTER MACHINE OPERATOR

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

4. Meet or exceed productivity standards.
